Participant Agreement for Live Chess on Parliament
Event Date and Time: May 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and thereafter
Location: Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Introduction
This Participant Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the participant (“Participant”) and MP Consolidated Inc., Matt Paul, Kaleidoscope Sky, any advertisers, or sponsors associated with the activities conducted on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on May 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and thereafter (collectively referred to as the “Organizers”).
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
- Assumption of Risk: Participant acknowledges that participation in the event conducted on Parliament Hill involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, injury, illness, and unforeseen events. Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the event.
- Release of Liability: Participant, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, assigns, successors, and personal representatives, hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges the Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and sponsors from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including but not limited to physical, emotional, psychological, or financial injuries or losses, arising from or in connection with participation in the event.
Indemnification
Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and sponsors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with Participant’s participation in the event or any breach of this Agreement.
Binding Effect
Participant acknowledges and agrees that by visiting the event website and providing their information in connection with their participation in the event, they are bound by the terms of this Agreement.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected or impaired in any way.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
Acknowledgment
Participant acknowledges that they have read and understood this Agreement, including the risks associated with participation in the event, and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms.
Effective Date
This Participant Agreement is effective as of the date of Participant’s visit to the event website and provision of their information in connection with their participation in the event.
By participating in the event and providing their information, participants agree to the terms outlined in this Participant Agreement, including the limitation of liability against the Organizers. It is advisable to seek legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
